Your telegram of 7th April rules have been dram

up in accordance with your instructions. I ask for

authority te grant exemption in the case of export of the

following articles to ports in China for local trade

purposes:-

Tin from Yunnan melted here, copper and brass for steamers, steamiaunches and motorbeats plying in inland

waters of China. These three articles are exported from

here in small quantities daily. Copper and brass mişcol-

laneous wire steel and galvanised wire, paraffin wax for

joss-sticks and candles, rubber tires for bicycles and

motor-sars, cotton waste, woollen piese goods other than khaki sloth, tanning material, sine, hemp, sordage,

ammonia sulphate, sal amoniac, liquid ammonia. A11

shipped in small quantities on an ante-war scale, None of

the raw materials originate in Hongkong.
